MAR2 is an idea of three Italians who have tried to bring the taste and the Italian technology in the marbles and stones of Morocco. The name itself comes from the MARocco (Italian writing for Morocco) and MARmi (Italian writing for marble).
All of the three partner’s professional provenance is that of the building sector but with different specializations for each: one has always been dedicated to design, the others come from entrepreneurship and financial enterprise.
For all the three members the step to develop a marble business has been a pleasant effort that is rewarded by recognition of customers and the people of the industry alike.

From its beginning with the Golden Dune quarry, the company has today developed with the opening of other mining sites and with the collaboration of other companies in the marble industry of Marocco.
Nowadays Mar2 operates directly on two quarries; Golden Dune and a Barchan Beige and operates indirectly throughout cooperation with other Moroccan mining units. The different kind of materials we’re dealing with, allow Mar2 to offer its clientele a wide range of choice in the field of marble and natural stones of Marocco.

Our quarries employ Moroccan staff, trained and supervised on site by the shareholders or their proxies. Training of employees and of the people working in the quarries is constantly updated with new technologies according to the different demands of our commission.

On top of the desire to give satisfaction to our customers with the best possible product, the mission of Mar2 is to promote and develop the use of marble and natural stone in those areas not been taken in proper consideration yet such as furniture’s decor and urban design because the hues and shades of natural materials cannot be reproduced by artificial substances.
